Garlic Knots
Follow these 6 easy steps to delicious plant-based garlic knots. They really are the ultimate all-rounder, fluffy on the inside and great for entertaining and snacking. 
Ingredients

375ml Califia Farms Oat Barista Blend
2 ¼ tsp Active Dry Yeast
1 tbsp Sugar
900g All-Purpose Flour
2 tbsp Olive Oil
2 tsp Onion Powder
½ tsp Salt
6 tbsp Plant-Based Butter, melted
2 tsp Italian Seasoning
4 garlic cloves, diced
1 tsp garlic powder
Marinara sauce, for dipping
 

Directions

1) Heat the Califia Farms Oat Barista Blend in the microwave until lukewarm, about 30 seconds

Add active dry yeast and sugar and gently whisk together

Allow yeast to bloom for 10 minutes, it should be foamy and bubbly

2)  In the bowl of a stand mixer or a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, olive oil, onion powder, and salt

Mix together and then add yeast mixture and knead for 5 minutes

(if using a stand mixture, use the dough attachment) Dough should come together and pull away from the bowl

If dough is too sticky, add an additional tablespoon of flour

If dough is not coming together, add a tablespoon of water

3) Add dough to a large bowl and cover with a towel of plastic wrap

Allow dough to rise in a warm place for about 1-1 ½ hours, until doubled in size

Place risen dough onto a well-floured work surface

Using a rolling pin, roll dough into a 300CM (roughly) rectangle

Cut into 3

Grab 1 strip at a time and fold in half, twist together, and tie into a knot, tucking any loose ends under the knot

Repeat for each strip

4) Place knots onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and cover for an additional 30 minutes, so the knots can rise a second time

While they are rising, preheat oven to 200C

Before placing the knots in the oven to bake, melt butter and use 2 tbsps of the butter to brush each knot prior to baking

5) Bake for 25 minutes

6) Use remaining melted butter and mix with garlic, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning

Brush butter mixture on top of each knot

Top with additional salt

Optionally, heat up your favourite marinara sauce for dipping
